Former School Employee Sentenced for Lewd Acts
Today in Department 3 of the Tulare County Superior Court, Visalia Division, the court sentenced Dejaun Jones, age 40, to 5 years in state prison for lewd acts with teens.
The crimes were committed against two 15-year-old female victims between September 2022 and April 2023 at Mt. Whitney High School in Visalia, where Jones worked as a campus employee. The crimes encompassed showing lewd videos of himself, soliciting and obtaining pictures of one of the victims, and inappropriate touching.
On May 6, 2026, Jones pleaded guilty to all criminal charges filed against him: 11 felony counts of lewd act on a child, showing pornography to a minor, and contact with a minor for sexual offense. Prosecutors made no plea offers in this case.
In addition to his sentence, Jones must register as a sex offender for life. The court also imposed a 10 year criminal protective order against Jones.
The case was investigated by the Visalia Police Department.
