Woodlake Man Sentenced to Life in Prison for Crimes against Children, Women

On Monday, December 8, 2025, in Department 11 of the Tulare County Superior Court, Visalia Division, the court sentenced Gabriel Izquierdo, age 41, to life in prison for multiple sex crimes.

In November 2025, Izquierdo pleaded guilty to six counts of lewd act upon a child under 14 and two counts of sexual battery. Izquierdo also admitted the special allegations that two of the crimes involved substantial sexual conduct and six of the crimes were committed against multiple victims. The six counts of lewd act upon a child under 14 are felonies and are considered strike offenses.

Izquierdo’s crimes spanned from August 17, 2017, through April 6, 2021, and were committed against eight female victims. Six of the victims were between the ages of five and thirteen years old at the time of the sexual assaults. Two of the victims were adult females.

All of the sexual assault crimes occurred in the City of Woodlake. Izquierdo will also be required to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life. According to current California sentencing laws, Izquierdo must serve 25 years in prison before being considered for parole.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Chelsea Wayt and was investigated by the Woodlake Police Department.
