Visalia Native Promoted to Supervising Attorney

District Attorney Tim Ward is pleased to announce the promotion of Candice Moore to the position of Supervising Deputy District Attorney.

Moore is a Visalia native and a graduate of Redwood High School. She began her TCDA career in 2008 as an intern and later as a law clerk from 2010 to 2013, and became a Deputy District Attorney in 2013. During her tenure as a prosecutor, Moore has tried cases as part of general misdemeanor and felony teams in Visalia and Porterville, agricultural crime, and most recently gangs and homicide. She is a 2009 graduate of California State University, Fresno with a degree in Political Science, and obtained her juris doctor from San Joaquin College of Law in 2013. In 2019, the Visalia Knights of Columbus named Moore “Attorney of the Year” at its annual public safety awards event.

“I, along with many others in this office, saw right away that Candice was going to be a tremendous help to victims and their families. From her time as an intern through her work as a long-standing Agricultural Crimes prosecutor, she has excelled in every aspect. We are lucky to have her on our team,” said District Attorney Tim Ward.
