Visalia Man Sentenced to Life in Prison for Molesting Six Children
Today the Tulare County Superior Court sentenced Oracio Reyes, age 37, to 120 years-to-life in prison for child molestation. On June 24, 2021, a jury convicted Reyes of fifteen counts of lewd act on a child under fourteen years old, and three counts of oral copulation on a child ten years of age or younger. Each count is a felony.
The crimes occurred from 2006 to 2016 against six minor female victims ages 6 to 13-years-old. Each of the crimes were committed in Tulare County.
“The victims in this case have waited for justice for some time. It arrived today, and I pray that those deeply affected by these crimes continue to heal,” said District Attorney Tim Ward. “Thank you law enforcement and prosecutors for your tireless efforts in supporting the bravery of these survivors.”
In addition to his sentence, Reyes must register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life.
The case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Kelly Habroun of the Crimes against Children Division and was investigated by Detective Henry Martinez of the Visalia Police Department.
