Visalia Man Sentenced to Life in Prison for Crimes against Children

On Friday, October 17, 2025, in Department 10 of the Tulare County Superior Court, the court sentenced Pablo Calderon, age 34, to 60 years-to-life in prison for child molestation.

The crimes were committed against three minor female victims between 2009 and 2017 in Tulare and Kern counties. Each victim was eight years old or younger at the time of the assaults.

On August 4, 2025, Calderon pleaded no contest to three counts of lewd act upon a child under the age of fourteen. Calderon also admitted the special allegations that his crimes were committed against multiple victims and that he has a prior strike offense (robbery, 2011).

In addition to his sentence, Calderon will be required to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life. Under current California law, Calderon is not eligible for early release under youthful offender or elder parole.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Chelsea Wayt and investigated by Visalia Police Department, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office and Tulare County District Attorney’s Bureau of Investigations.
