Visalia Man Sentenced to Life in Prison for Crimes against Children

Today in Department 10 of the Tulare County Superior Court, Visalia Division, the court sentenced Efren Reyes-Navarro, age 38, to a total of 55 years, 8 months to life in prison for the abuse of a child.

At trial on May 6, 2026, TCDA prosecutors secured a guilty verdict against Reyes-Navarro on 18 counts of felony child molestation, one felony count of aggravated sexual assault of a child, and felony distributing pornography to a minor. Many of the charges are enhanced with the special allegation that the sexual conduct was substantial.

The crimes were committed between May 2017 and July 2022 in Visalia and Los Angeles against a female minor victim.

In addition to his sentence, he must register as a sex offender for life.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Adam Clare and was investigation by the Visalia Police Department.
