Visalia Man Sentenced to Life in Prison for Child Molestation
On May 7, 2024, in Department 4 of the Tulare County Superior Court, Visalia Division, the court sentenced Elijah Harris, age 28, to life in prison for child molestation.
Harris pleaded no contest to one count of oral copulation of a child ten years of age or younger, and one count of sexual penetration with a child ten years of age or younger on March 15, 2024.
The crimes were committed in Visalia between July and September of 2020 against a single female victim who was 5 years old at the time of the sexual assaults. Both crimes are felonies, strike offenses, and require registration as a sex offender for life. According to California sentencing laws, Harris must serve 30 years prior to parole consideration.
The case was prosecuted by Supervising Deputy District Attorney Kelly Habroun and was investigated by Detective Leon of the Visalia Police Department.
