Tulare Man Sentenced to Life in Prison for Child Molestation
Today in Department 4 of the Tulare County Superior Court, Visalia Division, Judge Brett Alldredge sentenced Oscar Moreno, age 69, of Tulare, to 40 years-to-life in prison for child molestation.
On June 15, 2018, Moreno pleaded no contest to three counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14, one count of digital penetration of a child under the age of ten, and one count of oral copulation of a child under the age of ten. Each count is a felony and considered a strike offense.
The crimes occurred between April 22, 2011, and December 4, 2017, against four minor female victims.
In addition to his sentence, Moreno must register as a sex offender for life.
The case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Chelsea Wayt of the Crimes against Children Division and investigated by Detective Chris Marvin of the Tulare Police Department.
