Predator Denied Parole
Today, via video conference, TCDA prosecutors secured a 3-year denial of parole for Timothy Hissong, age 59, for crimes against children. Hissong is currently serving a life sentence at Pleasant Valley State Prison.
Hissong committed the crimes against three victims under the age of 14 between November 2000 and August 2001 in the city of Farmersville. In late 2005, a Tulare County jury convicted him of six felony counts of child molestation. Hissong was sentenced to 45 years-to-life in prison.
Hissong was granted a parole hearing under California elder parole provisions based on his age and length of continuous incarceration (AB 3234).
In their denial, commissioners noted that Hissong remained a danger if released.
This was Hissong’s second parole denial. The Office of the District Attorney regularly attends life parole hearings and a deputy district attorney argued against his release.
