Police Officer Charged for Incidents with Minor

District Attorney Tim Ward has announced criminal charges against Wayne Martin, age 33, of Tulare, for incidents that occurred with a minor on between May 1, 2018, and September 16, 2018, in Porterville. Martin is employed as a police officer in the city of Porterville.

Martin is charged with three felony counts of meeting a minor for a lewd purpose. If convicted on all counts, Martin faces a maximum of 6 years in state prison. Martin will be arraigned this afternoon at the Tulare County Pre-Trial facility. A future court date will be set at that time.
