Human Trafficking Task Force Participates in Statewide Operation
In the evening of January 25, 2018, in the City of Tulare, the Tulare County Human Trafficking Task Force executed a sting operation in an attempt to identify and rescue victims of human trafficking. As a result of the operation, law enforcement arrested 34-year-old Tulare female Jessie Dailey on charges of pimping an adult family member. Officers also gathered valuable intelligence and leads during the operation.
The sting was part of a statewide law enforcement human trafficking effort named Operation Reclaim and Rebuild.
Participants of the Tulare County sting included officers and investigators from the TulareCounty District Attorney’s Office, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office, the Visalia Police Department, the Tulare Police Department, the Dinuba Police Department, the Porterville Police Department, and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Family Services of Tulare County assisted with victim services.
“This operation is a great example of the collaborative efforts of our Task Force,” said Task ForceChair and Tulare County Assistant District Attorney Kerri Lopez. “We look forward to thepositive impacts this collaboration will have as we continue to raise awareness and reinforce thattrafficking will not be tolerated in our communities.”
The Tulare County Human Trafficking Task Force was established in 2014 to bring law enforcement and community stakeholders together to identify victims of all forms of trafficking, deliver services to those victims, and lead to the successful investigation and prosecution of traffickers. In 2016, the Task Force began receiving funding from the United States Department of Justice to continue its mission of investigation, prosecution, victim service, and awareness.
