Farmersville Man Found Guilty of Lewd Acts
In a court trial verdict on August 13, 2025, in Department 6 of the Tulare County Superior Court, Visalia Division, the court found Jose Martinez-Delgadillo, age 42, of Farmersville, guilty of lewd acts with a child and other crimes.
The court convicted Martinez-Delgadillo of seven counts of lewd act upon a child under the age of fourteen, one count of lewd act upon a child aged fourteen or fifteen, one count of invasion of privacy, and one count of possession of child or youth pornography. The court also found true the special allegation of substantial sexual conduct. Additionally, the court found true the aggravating factors that the crimes involved planning, sophistication, and professionalism, were committed against a vulnerable victim and that the defendant took advantage of a position of trust or authority in committing the crimes. Nine of the counts are felonies and seven are considered strike offenses.
The crimes occurred between October 1, 2013, and October 31, 2021, against a female victim, who was between the ages of nine and fifteen at the time of the acts.
Sentencing is set for September 19, 2025, in Superior Court. Based on evidence and California sentencing laws, Martinez-Delgadillo faces over 22 years in state prison. Martinez-Delgadillo will also be required to register as a sex offender for life.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Chelsea Wayt and investigated by the Farmersville Police Department with the assistance of District Attorney’s Bureau of Investigations.
