District Attorney Unveils 2020 Victims Memorial Quilt
Each year in April as part of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, our office joins with community families at a solemn ceremony to celebrate the lives of loved ones taken by crime. We honor these lives with a memorial quilt. In a year like no other, we waited patiently for the right time to join together for what would have been the 20th such ceremony. Unfortunately, that time never came.
Welcome to the 2020 Virtual Memorial Quilt Unveiling.
This year’s quilt represents 18 people – half of whom are under the age of 25.
“Each and every ceremony is unique and this year is certainly no exception. Every year this ceremony brings tears as we welcome new families with open arms and open hearts. Each quilt on display tells its own unique story. In reviewing this memorial, we are reminded that crime has a ripple effect – it touches us all,” said Tulare County District Attorney Tim Ward.

Thank you Garden of Hope for creating the quilt, and TCDA graphic designers Olivia Alison and Alex Villa for developing the video presentation, booklet, and memorial website. We look forward to being together again next year.
