District Attorney Promotes Three Prosecutors to Supervisor Positions
District Attorney Tim Ward is pleased to announce the promotion of three Tulare County prosecutors to the position of Supervising Deputy District Attorney.
Trevor Holly has been a prosecutor in the Office of the District Attorney since 2004. A native of Porterville and a graduate of Porterville High School, Holly graduated from California State University, Bakersfield with a degree in Business in 1999 and obtained his juris doctor from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2003. During his career in Tulare County, he has prosecuted felony and misdemeanor crimes in Visalia and Porterville and white collar crimes involving real estate and insurance fraud.
Jessica Weatherly began her career in the Office of the District Attorney as a law clerk in 2008, where her first assignment was assisting now District Attorney Tim Ward on the prosecution of a death penalty homicide case. She became a deputy district attorney in 2010. A native of Exeter and a graduate of Exeter High School, Weatherly graduated from California State University, San Diego with a degree in Biology in 2006 and obtained her juris doctor from San Joaquin College of Law in 2010. In her career, Weatherly has prosecuted felony cases in Visalia and Porterville, crimes against children, and most recently gang homicide in Porterville.
Erica Gonzalez began as a legal intern in 2004 and returned to serve as a Tulare County prosecutor in 2012. She is a native of Cutler and a graduate of Orosi High School. Gonzalez graduated from Stanford University in 2004 with a degree in Political Science and obtained her juris doctor from the University of California at Davis Law School in 2008. During her career as a prosecutor, Gonzalez has prosecuted sexual assault, domestic violence, elder abuse, general felonies and misdemeanors, and juvenile crimes. In addition to her duties in the courtroom, Gonzalez frequently serves as a representative of the Office of the District Attorney to raise awareness of crime types and victim resources to Tulare County’s Spanish speaking community.
“These promotions are reflective of the distinguishing leadership qualities these senior prosecutors have demonstrated throughout their careers in the pursuit of justice. Each are not only role models for new prosecutors, but give freely of their time in service to our entire county,” said District Attorney Tim Ward.
