District Attorney Launches Spanish Language Podcast
The Office of District Attorney is proud to announce the launch of its first podcast, Voces de Justicia (Voices of Justice), a Spanish language podcast exploring the inner workings of the DA’s office and the criminal justice system, cold cases, crime prevention, and culture.
“We are excited to introduce a new way to reach our community through one of America’s most popular forms of media,” said Tulare County District Attorney Tim Ward.
Hosted by TCDA Bureau of Investigations Sergeant Beatriz Nicholson and Sergeant Martha Rodriguez and produced by Criminal Investigator Ralph Garcia, Voces de Justicia will provide an inside look at how prosecutors, investigators, advocates and staff work on behalf of justice in Tulare County.
“In my 40 years of law enforcement, I’ve watched how content is translated from English to Spanish. In creating this podcast, I wanted to take the first part out,” said TCDA Bureau of Investigations Chief Investigator Lindy Gligorijevic. “We are not translating a concept, an interview, or a story from English to Spanish. Our Sergeants are speaking from experience and from their hearts, from the Spanish speaking community to the Spanish speaking community.”
The podcast can be found on the TCDA website at tulareda.org/podcasts/, the TCDA YouTube channel, and podcast streaming platforms. Show ideas and tips can be emailed to the hosts at TCDAvoces@tularecounty.ca.gov.
Media inquiries can be directed to the Office of the District Attorney, County of Tulare Communications Director Stuart Anderson (559) 636-5494
