Cutler Man Convicted of Child Molestation
Late in the afternoon of May 24, 2019, in Department 5 of the Tulare County Superior Court, Visalia Division, a Tulare County jury found Salvador Serna, age 24, guilty of child molestation.
Serna was convicted of four counts of lewd act upon a child, with one count including the special allegation of substantial sexual conduct with the victim. Serna was also convicted of one count of contacting a minor for a sexual offense. Each count is a felony. The crimes were committed against two female minors from September 2013 to November 2015.
Sentencing is set for June 13, 2019, in Tulare County Superior Court where Serna faces up to 14 years and 8 months in state prison.
The case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Laura Jackson of the Crimes against Children Division and investigated by Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Detectives Sara Olmos and Florence Cotton.
