Criminal Charges Filed in Visalia Street Vendor Battery

District Attorney Tim Ward has announced the filing of criminal charges against Joshua Ryan Martino, age 40, for the October 22, 2024, vandalism and battery of a street vendor and others in Visalia.

After reviewing police reports and other evidence submitted by the Visalia Police Department, prosecutors charged Martino with one count of felony vandalism and four misdemeanor counts of battery against four victims.

Martino pleaded not guilty at today’s arraignment. Following the arraignment, the court released Martino on his own recognizance. A preliminary hearing setting is scheduled for December 10, 2024, in Department 4 of the Tulare County Superior Court. If convicted, Martino faces up to 3 years in prison, probation, and restitution.
