Charges Filed in Downtown Visalia Shooting
District Attorney Tim Ward has announced criminal charges related to a shooting in downtown Visalia that occurred early Saturday morning of September 6, 2025, that left an adult victim dead and another wounded.
Raymond Vasquez, age 20, is charged with murder with the special allegation of intentional use of a firearm causing great bodily injury. Eduardo Moreno Torres, age 20, is charged with attempted murder with the special allegation of intentional use of a firearm causing great bodily injury, and assault with a firearm with the special allegation of causing great bodily injury.
At an afternoon arraignment today, both men pleaded not guilty. Vasquez will return to court for hearing on September 16, with Torres returning to court for a hearing on September 30. Both are being held on no bail.
If convicted, both men face life in prison.
