Dinuba Man Found Guilty of 12 Counts of Child Molestation

Late yesterday afternoon in Department 10 of the Tulare County Superior Court, Visalia Division, Judge Kathryn Montejano presiding, a Tulare County jury found Eduardo Rodriguez, age 36, guilty of twelve counts of lewd act upon a child under the age of fourteen. The jury also found true the special allegation of substantial sexual conduct and that one of the crimes was committed against multiple victims. Each count is a felony and considered strike offenses.

The crimes occurred between October 25, 2016, and October 24, 2017, against a female victim who was eleven-years-old at the time of the sexual assaults. All twelve crimes occurred in various areas within Tulare County.

Sentencing is set for September 6, 2019, in Superior Court where Rodriguez faces 29 years-to-life in state prison. Rodriguez will also be required to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life.

The case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Chelsea Wayt of the Crimes against Children Division and was investigated by Detective Jose Nevarez of the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office.
