Porterville Man Sentenced to Life in Prison for Child Molestation
Yesterday in Department 6 of the Tulare County Superior Court, Visalia Division, Judge Gary Paden sentenced Adrian Vicente Nunez, age 39, of Porterville, to 45 years-to-life in prison for child molestation. Nunez will also be required to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life.
On March 20, 2019, Nunez pleaded no contest to one count of sexual intercourse with a minor under the age of ten, one count of forcible lewd act upon a child under the age of fourteen, and two counts of lewd act upon a child under the age of fourteen. Nunez also admitted the special allegation that the crimes involved multiple victims. Each count is a felony and all are considered strike offenses.
The crimes
occurred between November 27, 1997, and June 13, 2017, against four female
victims. The victims were between the ages of four and thirteen-years-old at
the time of the sexual assaults.
The case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Chelsea Wayt of the Crimes
against Children Division and investigated by Detective Orlando Ortiz of the
Porterville Police Department and Investigator Lance Kirk of the District
Attorney’s Bureau of Investigations.
