Orosi Men Charged with Animal Cruelty
On Friday, October 19, 2018, Tulare County prosecutors filed animal cruelty charges against Angel Perez, age 51, and Carlos Rivera, age 18, for an alleged incident which occurred on October 17, 2018, in which two dogs were killed.
Both men are charged with four felony counts of cruelty to an animal with the special allegations of using a deadly weapon.
The defendants were arraigned at the county pre-trial facility on October 19, 2018, and will return to court for a preliminary hearing conference on October 30, 2018. If convicted on all counts, both men face up to nine years in prison.
