Veteran Criminal Investigator Promoted Supervisor
District Attorney Tim Ward is pleased to announce the promotion of Criminal Investigator Jose Benavides to supervisor.
Benavides joined the TCDA Bureau of Investigations in 2001 as an Investigator Aide. After graduating from the 100th extended police academy class at the College of the Sequoias, he was promoted to Investigator and has worked in variety of specialized and general investigations. A native of Orosi, Benavides has coordinated and assisted numerous community outreach efforts on behalf of the office.
“Supervising Criminal Investigator Benavides brings 17 years of experience to his new role as supervisor and a deep understanding of the unique and complex investigations the Bureau of Investigations is tasked with. His talents are as limitless as his commitment to the Office of District Attorney, and I look forward to seeing what he will accomplish in his new leadership role,” said TCDA Chief Investigator Lindy Gligorijevic.
Benavides will begin his supervisorial duties in the Crimes against Persons / Trial Prep Unit.
