Father and Son Indicted for Grand Theft of Cattle and Embezzlement

Today in Department 3 of the Tulare County Superior Court, Visalia Division, Judge Nathan Leedy unsealed a 27 count indictment handed down by a criminal grand jury against father Bruce Greer, age 62, and son Justin Greer, age 37, both of Exeter, for grand theft of cattle and embezzlement. These counts also carry special allegations that the total theft by each defendant was in excess of $1 million.

It is alleged that from 2012 to 2017, Bruce Greer embezzled from his employer, a trucking sales, service, and parts provider, in excess of $1 million. It is alleged that from 2015 to 2017, Justin Greer committed grand theft of cattle from multiple victims throughout the western region of the United States. The indictment also alleges his father’s involvement in these crimes. These crimes were described as “modern day cattle rustling.”

Both men will return to court in Department 6 on Monday, June 4, 2018, at 8:30 am for a Jury Trial Setting and bail motions.
