Dinuba Man Sentenced for Lewd Act at Highway Rest Area
Today in Department 11 of the Tulare County Superior Court, Visalia Division, Judge Jennifer Shirk sentenced Brian Huerta, age 29, of Dinuba, for indecent exposure. On the previous day, a jury found Huerta guilty of one count of indecent exposure and one count of lewd conduct in public. Both counts are misdemeanors.
On July 29, 2016, at a highway rest area south of Kingsburg, Huerta exposed himself while committing a lewd act to a rest area attendant, who then told her supervisor. Huerta left the scene, but returned on several occasions. On September 26, 2016, Heurta was cited by law enforcement when he again returned to the rest area.
Huerta was sentenced to 164 days in jail and a probation term of three years. In addition to his sentence, Huerta must register as a sex offender for life.
The case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Laura Jean Berger and investigated by Investigator Khoua Lopez of the District Attorney’s Bureau of Investigations.
