Child Molestation Charges Filed against Visalia Teacher
Tulare County District Attorney Tim Ward has announced the filing of criminal charges against Visalia teacher Jeremy Hanson, age 41, for multiple alleged crimes committed against a minor student.
Hanson is charged with three felony counts of a lewd act upon a child under the age of 14, four felony counts of contact with a minor for sexual offense, and one misdemeanor count of child molestation.
Hanson was arraigned this afternoon in Tulare County Superior Court where he pleaded not guilty. He remains in custody on no bail. A preliminary hearing setting / bail hearing is scheduled for May 30, 2023.
If convicted of all charges, Hanson faces up to 16 years in state prison and sex offender registration under current California sentencing laws.
